Procedure

Ulthera is a new type of non surgical cosmetic procedure for achieving skin rejuvination. The Ulthera system precisely delivers acoustic sound waves deep into the skin to thermally initiate the body's own rejuvinative mechanisms. This is done with the help of acoustic imaging for seeing the layers of soft tissue before treating. This novel ultrasound treatment will set a new standard in the aesthetic industry.

The procedure is done in the office. Oral sedation and analgesics help minimize discomfort. All of the 'heat' is delivered into the deeper tissues. There is no 'cutting' or 'wounding' to the skin. After the treatment the skin is pink and usually noticeably tighter right away. The initial tightening is likely to subside after a couple of days. It will take 2-3 months before the actual tightening effect of the procedure is realized.
